Hamantaschen Recipe Roundup

Every year I like to try out a new hamantaschen recipe to add to the collection but this year the coming of Purim (aka, the time you see triangular cookies popping up everywhere) sort of caught me by surprise and now it’s just a couple of days away, which means that I may not be able to deliver a brand new version this year. Sorry! If I can, I promise to share (and also to program my phone to remind me to starting baking new hamantaschen recipes mid-February!), but until then here are some tried and true recipes that I know are going to be huge hits, whether you celebrate the holiday or not!

First up, these Classic Hamantaschen—they’re buttery, sweet and you can fill them with a variety of preserves, spreads, even chocolate chips. If you don’t want to mess with tradition, these are your babies!

if you’re feeling a little Jackson Pollock, you are going to adore these Raspberry Chocolate Hamantaschen. In addition to the zig-zaggy chocolate across the tops, you coat the bottoms in chocolate too, so every bite is truly a raspberry chocolate experience. It’s a not-to-be-missed combo!

Now we start to stray a little bit more. Cheesecake lovers will fall hard for these Vanilla Bean Cheesecake Hamantaschen. They’re part cookie, part creamy cheesecake filling and a whole lot of deliciousness!!

If you can’t decide between a brownie and a sugar cookie, these Brownie-Filled Hamantaschen are the way to go. Nestled inside a buttery, vanilla-y tender cookie is a chewy, chocolate-y brownie. Kids especially love these!!

And last, but certainly not least, these Chocolate Peanut Butter Hamantaschen. Chocolate dough wrapped around a creamy peanut butter center, these are totally untraditional but totally addictive if you Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups make you smile!

Happy Purim!!
