Hiya! It’s apple time folks! Hopefully you’re lucky enough to go apple-picking in person but even if it’s just a trip to the farmers market or ordinary supermarket, here are ten tried and true apple recipes from here on the site that I think you might like to have. Of course, I’ll be sharing some new ones in the very near future, but these are the ones I turn to time and again when I’ve got apples on the brain…or in the bowl on the counter!

1. Cinnamon-Vanilla Apple Butter—this is one of my very favorite ways to start the day! Slathered on a piece of toast—makes waking up on those chilly mornings a whole lot easier!

2. Divinely Delicious Roasted Applesauce—this really is aptly named—it’s so, so good and will turn you into a homemade applesauce snob forever! It’s great to make when you’ve gone a little overboard in the apple-picking department (who me?) Plus, it’s also featured in the caramel apple cake right below (though of course you can use store-bought in a pinch.)

3. Caramel Apple Cake—Wherever and whenever you serve this to people, they will swoon. It’s the perfect pot-luck or socially distanced, backyard get-together fall dessert. Travels easily and who can resist caramel icing?!!

4. Apple Crumb Pie—Want to make your house smell amazing? Here’s the answer. This is a long-time family favorite. I just made it again this past week—it was the birthday request for our middle guy. Homemade crust, piles of cinnamon-spiked apples and a streusel crumb crust, what’s not to love?!!

5 . Apple Cobbler with Hot Sugar Crust—this is a fairly new one for me—only made and shared it last year, but it’s so delish and so interesting and different when it comes to cobbler, that I wanted to remind you (and me) of it. Gotta love that crackly crust!!

6. Apple Oatmeal Breakfast Muffins—make these for a fairly healthy morning treat and you won’t hear any complaints about how hard it is to get up in the morning! I forgot all about these but will be making them as soon as I can get my hands on some more oatmeal. These don’t need a lot of apples (you only use one) so these are perfect if your apply supply is limited.

7. Aunt Sima’s Apple Cake—a true family heirloom!! My Aunt Sima was a fabulous individual and cook (sadly, she recently passed away) but her legacy lives on in so many ways, particularly in this homey, chock-full-of-apples tube cake!

8. Nick’s Rustic Apple Tart—this is wonderful—full of apple-cinnamon goodness. The crust comes together easily and then it’s just a matter of arranging the apples, which don’t need to be laid out perfectly (the title does say rustic after all). It’s great on it’s own or with a little (or big) scoop of vanilla ice cream or lightly sweetened whipped cream!

9. Autumn Jam—Making jams is a great way to use up a lot of fruit and this is the easy, no canning method. It lasts for at least a month in the fridge (as if) and has a lovely sweet/tart flavor which comes from the mix of apples, pears and plums.

10. Caramel Apple Tart—I love this tart for so many reasons. A) You don’t have to slice the apples, just a quick peel, core and cut into quarters; B) the crust comes together in the food processor and gets pressed into the tart pan so there’s no rolling out needed; and C) there is a GORGEOUS amount of sticky, homemade caramel that run through the whole thing!! YUM!!

What are you baking this fall? I’d love to know and get some inspiration too! Here’s to our favorite fall fruit!!
